Un sogno nella solitudine

A homeless child, invisible to everyone, lies under the portico of Via Sacchi and dreams that the crumbling wall covered in graffiti on the opposite side of the street turns into his bathroom and bedroom.

The panel is a reminder of homeless people, especially children, who are all too often forgotten, sometimes orphans living in extreme poverty, victims of war violence or of desperate migratory journeys.

The distressing image of solitude is softened by the contrast of the decorations of the imagined bathroom and bedroom, yet the darkness of a night without stars or moon and the deteriorated wall emphasize that it is only a dream, a child’s attempt to believe in a better future, without any certainty of a real transformation of his social condition.
